Days 25-27/100 : embrace the weekend

I’m a firm believer in weekends. In working yourself silly during the week so you have no worries on Saturday or Sunday. This is more easily said than done, especially in school, but try you must.

Ten Reasons to Embrace the Weekend (and go ahead with that gin & tonic)

1. Because Friday evening is for a cookout and bike polo with friends

2. Because Friday night is for large gin & tonics, dancing, and birthday parties, and coming home way too late

3. Because Saturday morning is for bagels and watching America’s Next Top Model in your PJs

4. Because Saturday afternoon is for a bike ride to the store to buy lemons and fresh bread

5. Because you have a pretty yellow dress and feel like wasting time twirling around in it

6. Because someone brought another pitcher of Alpha King to the table

7. Because there’s a poster of Snoop Dogg staring at you as you use the bar bathroom, and you just don’t have time to deal with that

8. Because Sunday you need to make time for your best friend, laying out in your swimsuit, and grown-up punch

9. Because you need to cure the Sunday panics by making lemon squares & playing Amibitions on repeat.

10. Because Monday is coming too quickly and you really need to go sit outside on the back porch at twilight.
